A trip to Narnia

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

Such a bizarre trip…my friend Erika (red coat) visited for Christmas and I went to pick her up home where she was staying, about 60km from my place. It was a nice, sunny and warm morning when I was leaving, 30 minutes later billions of huge snowflakes started bumping into the windscreen gently. I wish I could take pictures of that. So we spent about an hour in Narnia, and it stopped snowing the second we left. That was the only proper snow I’ve had this winter here.

Last photo taken by E., on our way back to mine.

Shades of Winter

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

It seems like our winter so far prefers only shades of grey,
so I’m thankful for every bit of light and colour I can find,
in or outdoors.

The day someone spilt a bottle of milk over the country

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

I kept thinking about Wuthering Heights (the book and the 1992 film version) on this little trip.
Smolenice castle dressed up in a spooky milky fog coat, a walk in the woods, lovely company,
the best slovak traditional food I had in years (in a pub I mean, in case my mum and sister are reading this ;)
A perfect day.

The tree

Monday, December 5th, 2011

My tree. It was for free. Found it in the woods. I’m in love with it.
And yes, I’ve put an earring on it too…hope it’s ok ;)
